How to create a brand on a budget?

msosaanic

One year ago, I started the "adventure" of creating a brand. It was about a Farm brand of agricultural products, primarily olive oil. The first dilemma was the brand name. In the process of creating the name, I was guided by the following criteria:

1) The name should have a link to the company,

2) The name should be self-explanatory, i.e. associated with the purpose, product, or value of the brand.

3) Another criterion when choosing a name was the availability of a name for the web domain so that it would be unique and easy to remember.

All names with negative connotations were rejected, and we decided to choose a term from our tradition because it is one of the values of the brand.

The next step in the process was creating a logo. In this step, I used the services of a design studio, considering that the farm’s products were being branded in an "ocean" of similar products, it is necessary to stand out and professionals help with that!

Google's business profile is free and essential to be visible to searchers when searching from addresses located nearby; also its presence on social networks will be important if you want customers who live nearby to find.

A website is a digital “ ID card" and the only resource you own. Unlike social networks, this is your chance to showcase who you are and what you believe in—all in one place. I started by researching the most popular options for website creation. I wanted something simple to use, but also offered lots of templates and features so that I could create something unique. After looking at a bunch of different platforms, I decided that platform Squarespace was the best option for me. Here's why:

Squarespace is easy to use—like MS PowerPoint! It has tons of pre-designed templates for all kinds of different types of businesses, so you don't need any design skills or experience to create something beautiful and professional-looking. And it supports custom features like custom fonts, which makes it perfect for someone who wants to make their website stand out from the crowd.

Finally, Squarespace has built-in best practices for SEO and e-commerce (which means it's already optimized for search engines and can be used as an online store). So if that sounds like what you're looking for then this might be just what you need.

My second branding process was the branding process of my newly established company which deals with IT consulting services. In this case, I decided to use the tools available on the Internet as much as possible. I designed the logo with the help of artificial intelligence and the https://brandmark.io tool. Brandmark offers dozens of ideas in all color combinations and you only need to choose the one that best matches the values of your brand.  When choosing social networks, I determined to be on Linkedin because it is a network that is in line with my values and where I want to build a community.

I used WIX as a platform for my website creation because it was easy to use and offered many options for customizing its appearance: from changing fonts to adding images or videos and setting up SEO-optimized pages - all this is included in WIX's version for Entrepreneurs & Freelancers for 8.50 $ monthly.

If your business is just beginning or if you have already started but have no idea how to position yourself, then branding is a very important step. Because once you have a brand, you can come up with an identity of products and services that will be recognizable among your target audience.
